Kazbah, Top Ryde

Kazbah Top Ryde on UrbanspoonMy experiences at Kazbah in both Balmain and Top Ryde have led me to one conclusion: Kazbah is for breakfast. Delicious, fragrant, warming, hearty breakfast. The degustation is delicious, varied and spectacular value; for groups less than eight, I recommend the breakfast tagines, in particular the lamb ($18.50pp). It’s chockers full of spiced lamb mince, feta, baby spinach, tomato, topped off with a couple of eggs and accompanied by both turkish bread and flatbread, it’ll keep you satisfied for hours.

On the day we visited Kazbah Top Ryde, the staff appeared to be overworked, understaffed and utterly confused. To their credit the waiters we encountered were certainly friendly and helpful, but I can understand this place losing potential fans due to the service. And are restaurants still allowed to have a surcharge for public holidays??

    • Was it for breakfast? I was underwhelmed with their food from the lunch menu when I went to the Balmain Kazbah, but I’ve never had a bad breakfast at either…
