For an excellent coffee you can always count on Revolver Cafe in Annandale. Tucked away in a lovely spot, just a few streets behind Johnston St, it exudes neighbourhood charm.
Their coffee is top notch – unfortunately I can rarely go past the ultra rich, dark Guatemalan hot chocolate ($4).
The babycino ($1.20) comes with a marshmallow to keep little ones happy – or check out these cute bunny face sandwiches!
The food is consistently good quality, well-cooked and decent value. My ultimate is the Revolver big breakie with two eggs baked in housemade beans with honey cured bacon, roast tomato, mushrooms, pork fennel sausage and toast. Swoon! Pictured below is the healthier version: scrambled eggs, roast tomato, avocado and danish fetta with toast ($14.50).
They also have some gorgeous cakes and pastries…
And if it’s chilly outside, they’ll even provide you with cuddly blankets to keep you toasty and warm! Love!
